The Golden Pear has become as ubiquitous as McDonald's, only not as cheap. The ladies who lunch, chic moms with strollers and everyone else passes through the doors of this cafe sooner or later. It has a take out menu with cold salads and hearty soups as well as vegetarian specialties. Great selection of muffins, teas and coffee for breakfast. Their homemade fruit ice tea with a slice of orange is other worldly!

Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw hide out here when they're in the mood for simple, delicious Italian food. Sam's pizzas are the stuff legends are made of. You can have your choice when it comes to toppings. They serve other Italian delicacies as well.

Great for breakfast. Busy for lunch and dinner. They recently opened Little Estia's Kitchen on the Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike. It's a tiny eaterie but same menu as the original.

Lobster Roll (on Napeaugue strip)
Or LUNCH as its sign indicates, is a great Amagansett tradition, situated right on a beach dune, used to be an an outdoors restaurant - now it's mostly indoors with some outdoor seating. Good fast food, fish dishes, hamburgers and other delicious child-fare.

Sit outside across the street from the dunes About half a mile from The lobster roll on the Napeague Strip, The Clam Bar is a great local hangout. Famous for seafood, burgers, corn on the cob and raw bar. Sit at the counter or grab a table on the gravel driveway. Lunch, take out, catering and clam bakes. We love this place.

Much has been written about this Hamptons staple, but it deserves the accolades. Great lucheonette food. Greek specialties abound. Homemade ice cream, soups and good old fashioned grilled cheese sandwhiches.
