How to Find a Map of Any Address

We provide a link on our Search page to Yahoo Maps. This link allows you to find any address on a map directly on line. You can make the map as detailed or as general as you want and need.
If you're not familiar with the process, here is a quick tutorial:
It works best if you know a little about the general area that you're looking for. Let's say you're looking for a street named Merrywood Road and you know it's in Wainscott, and you know it's right off Route 27 (Montauk Highway).

Example: find Merrywood Road in Wainscot

1)
Go to the Search page to find the Yahoo Maps dialog box and type in "Merrywood Rd" as illustrated on the right, then click Show Map
Search for a map

You will get this map:

Ok, this means that the street you're looking for is in an area with a lot of little streets that cannot be shown on this first view.
So you have zoom IN - see the zoom arrows on top of the map. The green button on the Zoom bar indicates the level of close-up for the this map. The left and right buttons let you zoom in and out.

Zoom in once (click the first to the right of the green button

First hit

You will get this:
Still a lot of lines (streets) with no names which means we're still not close enough.

Zoom in again.
Zoom in once

Now the ZOOM took us too far SOUTH and we lost Montauk Highway. We need to see Montauk Highway because we know the street is right near it.
4) Click on N for North to move the view a bit to the North.
Let's move North a bit

Bingo, there it is!

Obviously, this was a worst case scenario, most streets are easier to find, with one or 2 clicks, especially if they're not in a congested area.
